🗣️ ESD Talk #3 on Green Solutions! 🗣️ TEACH4SD recently hosted another exciting ESD talk live from the ESD conference in Barcelona. The talk featured Susanne M. Nielsen from European Training Foundation – an EU-agency with key tasks of supporting EU neighboring countries, providing policy advice, and managing peer learning networks within the digital and green transition. At TEACH4SD, our 16 partners across 5 countries share more than just professional collaboration on ensuring sustainable development in education - we also share incredible experiences when we visit each other’s cities. These visits are full of inspiring encounters that highlight the beauty in the different participating countries and motivate us in our work with sustainable development 💚   Our project manager, Ditte Karla Lott Lauritsen, experienced this firsthand during a visit to Barcelona at the beginning of May. She shares 🗣️   "Sorry miss, do you need help? And yes – I did. It was my first time in Barcelona, and I was a bit lost trying to figure out how to use my airport bus ticket at a metro station. From the 26th of May to the 29th of May, one of our project managers, Ditte Karla Lott Lauritsen, visited Elisava School of Design and Engineering, EURECAT and Barcelona Chamber of Commerce in Catalonia, Barcelona. ☀️   The purpose of the trip was for Central Denmark EU Office (CDEU) to gather knowledge about areas and collaboration partners for future funding opportunities. Along the way CDEU hosted a workshop on new funding opportunities for the textile domain through the Central Denmark EU perspective.   Currently efforts are underway to represent project management in Barcelona and provide updates on project development and progress in TEACH4SD. During April 15th to April 17th, 2024, a delegation of the management team, Jeppe Kiel Christensen and Ditte Karla Lott Lauritsen from VIA University College(Aarhus, Denmark), Elena Nielsen and Emma Meyer from Central Denmark EU Office (CDEU) in Brussels visited the Romanian partner Gheorghe Asachi Technical University (TUIASI), Gheorghe Asachi College of Iasi (CGTA) and Iasi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI). 🌱 There was more than one reason for the visit. 1. To deliver on WP7 to collect knowledge for future exploitation of TEACH4SD project results within the European funding network. 2. Meeting partners in their own environment with local stakeholders, starting to work on TEACH4SD and involve students, teachers, and industry partners. During the visit VIA and CDEU gave presentations, workshops and engaged in dialogue with a broad range of stakeholders. We’ve asked Emma Meyer about what it has given her to attend:” Visiting Rumania has been fantastic; I am impressed by how innovative our Romanian partners are when it comes to sustainability. I also want to highlight all of the talented students we met, if all students are like them, the future of ESD is very bright. ☀️ At our visit, we identified a range of flagships, that we now use to identify synergy funding and target early intelligence” But like any other, we are curious about what the next step will be. After summer, the preparation for train the trainers will start. Which is very exciting, and we can’t wait to get started! ✨ Want to read more about the trip to Romania?
