Last week, Teadit participated in the 2024 Valve World India Expo, where we showcased a range of products including PTFE, packing, compressed fiber sheets, and metallic gaskets. Teadit also presented in the Technical Session of the Conference, in the Fugitive Emissions and Valve Sealing Technologies track. Attendees also had the opportunity to experience our Teadit Digital Gasket Trainer (DGT) in action during our Workshop Session. It was a great event filled with product knowledge and exciting opportunities! This week, Carlos Daniel Girão Barroso presented at the ASME Pressure Vessels and Piping Conference (PVP) 2024 in Bellevue, Washington! Teadit representatives were also awarded for outstanding technical papers from 2023's event! Their session on Pressure Boundary Bolted Joint Activity from Brazil was part of the Bolted Joint International Liaison Panel. Leonardo R. de la Roca also presented his research at the conference. His research delved into the deformations in flange sealing surfaces caused by ring joints in the petrochemical and offshore industries. Through finite element analysis (FEA) and laboratory tests, the study examined how different ring geometries, materials, and hardnesses affect the integrity and performance of ring joint-flange assemblies. The research introduced two innovative ring designs: a topology-optimized hollowed ring and a 3D-printed ring using stainless steel grade 316L. It also investigated the hardness differences needed to prevent permanent flange deformation, offering fresh insights into ring joint assemblies.
