About us
Team IMPACT is a 501(c)3 national nonprofit that connects children facing serious or chronic illnesses with college athletic teams, forming lifelong bonds and life-changing outcomes. Team IMPACT is a 2021 FOS “Best Employers in Sports” winner, a certified “Great Place to Work”, and is currently ranked 100/100 in all of Charity Navigators currently available “Star rating”. The only U.S. nonprofit that helps children with serious or chronic illness overcome acute social and emotional isolation by matching them with a college athletic team for inclusion and purpose. Our two-year clinically-based plan for each child completes the full circle of healing, and results in relationships and skills that last a lifetime. In the words of a participating mother, "This program has done what no medicine ever could, it has put a smile back on my boy’s face, and laughter back into his life.” Founded in 2011, Team IMPACT has matched more than 2,000 children with 700+ colleges and universities in 48 states, impacting more than 60,000 student athletes. To learn more about how this high quality socialization profoundly improves the quality of life for these courageous children, visit TeamIMPACT.org and connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.

"Sometimes a simple conversation is all it takes to impact the lives of many." Team IMPACT had the privilege of attending and participating in Children’s Hospital Association's 19th annual Family Advocacy Day. The event brings patient advocates and their families to Washington D.C. to meet with Congress and share how their lives have been significantly impacted by the advanced and specialized care provided by children’s hospitals. Team IMPACT CEO Joe Daniels, fellows, and regional staff members all came together with CHA to support our joint mission of creating positive change in the lives of all children facing serious and chronic illness.
