🚀 Exciting News for Central Texas! 🚀 Yesterday morning, we celebrated with Acutronic Group as they officially launched their global aerospace components division right here in East Austin! With a ribbon cutting ceremony, Acutronic’s CEO Florian Aigrain shared their commitment to Texas and the progress of their incredible apprenticeship program to grow talent from within. The first jet engine manufacturing facility in Texas will be opening soon at their Bastrop property—a major milestone for aerospace manufacturing in our state! A big thank you to Opportunity Austin’s Edward Latson for co-hosting, and to Adriana Cruz (Texas’ economic development lead) for kicking things off with a proclamation. Acutronic Announces Major Expansion & New Investment Across the Austin, Texas Region at SelectUSA Summit Key Highlights: Aerospace Component Division’s New Global Headquarters: Acutronic’s newly renovated facility on Ed Bluestein Blvd. in Austin will serve as the global headquarters for the Aerospace Components Division. The new location will house engineering teams, corporate staff, assembly space, and turbine test cells. Development will take place on Acutronic’s actuator, turbine, and power systems product lines. First Jet Engine Manufacturing Facility in Texas: Acutronic has acquired 13.84 acres of land in the City of Bastrop Tx and has committed to creating at least 50 jobs and investing upwards of $4 million in constructing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Acutronic Apprenticeship Alliance: In collaboration with the Bastrop ISD’s Manufacturing P-Tech program, Acutronic is launching the Acutronic Apprenticeship Alliance. This program will allow apprentices to apply technical and soft skills, earn a competitive wage before graduating high school, and have the opportunity to become full-time electromechanical technicians.
