SDS is a project-based engineering consultancy that specializes in full stack embedded hardware, software and cloud systems. We do everything from PCB design to cloud and mobile applications in industries such as aerospace, defense, medical, oil & gas, robotics and transportation. Our areas of expertise include embedded design, microcontroller development, low power wireless sensors, rapid prototyping, test equipment, and our new Maestro product that monitors and manages any device from any vendor. We help our customers by designing and constructing tangible solutions that align with their ideas, and by solving their most complex problems. Our customers use our experienced engineers to either augment existing projects as part of their team, or hand projects off to us when they lack either the bandwidth or in-house expertise. Since our engineers are full-time and permanent, they love being able to work with the same engineers across projects.

We’re officially empty nesters… Our second summer intern, Andreea Toader came to us from University of Pittsburgh as a dual major in Computer Science and Industrial Engineering. Her goal was to enhance her skillset by learning more about hardware and embedded systems. Tuesday was her final day with us, which was capped off with her exit presentation. We were so busy paying attention that we neglected to take her final picture. As our CTO Ed Kuzemchak said during the presentation, we think we gave her enough exposure for her to know the next fifty things she needs to learn. There’s no doubt in our minds that she’ll learn each and every one. Best of luck to you, Andreea. SDS is elated about how the summer developed, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for you!
