My dear friend, Richelle D., is someone I've been able to reconnect with by getting on LinkedIn! Richelle and I taught English together in China WAY BACK in the day. And I'm so grateful she was in my group! The only people I had to hang out with for almost five months were the other teachers in our group, and I was so lucky that I was able to create a genuine friendship with a few teachers. Richelle was one of them! Fast forward a lot of years and here we are hanging out again! I was able to get Richelle in for a headshot session to update her pictures while she's on the job hunt. Richelle completed the Tech-Moms program and is looking for an opportunity to use everything she's learned. She's also a single mom and needs to find work ASAP to support her children. I was talking with Carrie H. the other day about how hard single moms work because there is no option except to succeed. Richelle fits this, and I know she will do an amazing job for whoever will allow her to prove how valuable she is!! After our session, Richelle and I were able to chat for a while and catch up on what's happened in our lives over the years. While we've had different experiences, the one we share is becoming single moms and facing the adversity that comes with that. I'm so impressed with Richelle's tenacity, her ability to see the good in really difficult situations, and her willingness to do what it takes to make things happen for her kids and herself!

Our Tech-Moms 2.0 program has entered the third and final phase! After laying a solid foundation in IT and networking, our dedicated participants are now diving into advanced Cybersecurity concepts. The primary objective of this phase is to prepare our women to pass the CompTIA Security+ exam, a crucial certification that emphasizes today's best practices for risk management and mitigation. Since February, our students have been mastering the skills necessary to identify and address security threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities. The journey has been challenging, but their resilience and dedication has been inspiring. As we approach the program's ending in August, we are so proud of our participants for their perseverance and commitment to reaching the finish line.
