The vibe was chill but full of positive energy. 😎It was orchestrated like speed dating so that everyone had the opportunity to hear from all of the founders as we rotated around the room. Many may not know the story behind how Myri Health (Google '24/Techstars '23) launched in beta RIGHT before I delivered my second baby (I always joke that I “launched” him too 😆). But, as we announce our selection as one of the top 250 companies out of 15,000 globally in the Entrepreneurship World Cup, it feels like a full-circle moment worth sharing. When the beta launched across the Apple and Google Play stores, I was building Myri Health in the late nights and early mornings—balancing a full-time job and tending to a toddler who needed snacks on demand 👀. Myri was built with community at its core, along with personalized pelvic floor therapies, and much more. I filmed thousands of recovery techniques alongside pelvic floor therapists, often in front of a white wall in a coworking space, and sequenced them myself. One thing I wished I had time for was adding voiceovers to every video, but sometimes, you have to rip off the bandaid and jump in—ready or not. In my case, it was right before heading to the labor and delivery room. Weeks later as I was sitting in my regular spot, the nursing chair 🫡, as a new mom again, a sleepless zombie, I saw women across multiple countries began finding value in the app—despite the absence of voiceovers and only being available in English. I would refresh the screen a few times, and often even look up the country I didn’t recognize. Again, caffeine did help a little, but I had to rub my eyes a few times. 🤔 This validated one of our core beliefs: “Motherhood is universal.” Today, we’ve expanded our platform to include pregnancy, improved our technology, and are preparing to offer Myri in multiple languages! I’m incredibly grateful for being among this group and representing the US alongside 85 other countries. Thanks, Global Entrepreneurship Network for prioritizing our work and seeing our vision! ✨
