I've loved seeing so many posts and comments about TEDxNashville this past Sunday! I checked my watch and turns out I had 20,000 steps that day...proof that volunteering for TEDx is not just good for your mind and soul, but good for your health as well :) It was an incredible day following so many months of hard work by our amazing team. Huge thanks to all of the speakers, board members, and volunteers who pulled it off. Abby Cox is an all-star who keeps us all in line. Danny Pippin led our speaker team with incredible poise. Jane A Grote kept us all sane and calm backstage. Kerri Fox-Metoyer volunteers for everything, including walking into a random restaurant and asking them for pens because we forgot to bring them that morning. Emily Wyer is our new volunteer coordinator and helped us recruit a couple dozen wonderful folks to do everything from check-in to lanyard assembly to dessert set up. Belinda Ligotino cold-called companies to produce our swag bags, and then worked a very long day behind the scenes. After the show was over, April Henderson was one of the very last to leave that night as we packed everything up. Kathryn Swanton, MSc kept our social media active and interesting. Sarah Christine Lehner helps us tell the stories that otherwise might go unnoticed. Michelle Campos-Greatrick, CMP, CWP and T.M. Fahit take any logistical issue in stride. Kanishka Biddanda and Chris Becker were my guides, advisors, and sounding board as we developed a new marketing strategy. When Chris Moise and I have a call about TEDx, my wife knows she can watch anything she wants for at least an hour if not more. I honestly don't talk to anyone else in the world for that long on the phone, and it's because, even after doing this for 15 years, he still shares the same passion I have for this organization. Faith Barker helped us create videos to promote our speakers and is a master at making connections. Nathan Adam, EdD and his incredible team of Belmont students filmed and are now editing all 14 videos from our conference. And that's just the start of it. There is so much energy, wisdom, and gracious introductions that go into each event. Thank you to the rest of our board of directors. Betsy Wills, Jen Duck, PhD, David Ikard, Tom Truitt 🌎.
