About us
Founded in 1887, Teichert’s two main operating companies are Teichert Construction and Teichert Materials. Teichert Construction holds California State Contractor’s License #8, the oldest active license in California. Teichert Construction is a general contractor that builds the infrastructure people use each day, including hundreds of thousands of mile of roads and freeways, commercial and industrial sitework, parks, airports, and more. One advantage that Teichert Construction brings our customers is a full line of construction services. These include mass grading, asphalt paving, concrete paving, curbs and sidewalks and underground pipelines. We stay on the cutting edge, from training our employees to outfitting our construction equipment with the latest technology for greater job efficiency. Teichert Materials is one of the largest construction materials producers in the county. This includes; Teichert Aggregates, a rock, sand, gravel and asphaltic concrete producer. Teichert Materials makes the materials to build homes, schools, offices, roads, levees and other community projects. Since our business is dependent on the use of natural resources, we work closely with neighbors, environmental experts and public officials to design, reclaim and replenish the environment in which we work. This is our 'net-gain' approach to doing business

Not a bad way to spend a workday! I had the opportunity to visit our job site at Rocky Creek Bridge along Highway 1, which suffered a slip out on Easter weekend, creating a significant gap in the road 160 feet above sealevel. Teichert was awarded an emergency contract to quickly mobilize and stabilize the area while implementing traffic control measures. Our project scope continues to evolve as we collaborate on ways to enhance this historic stretch of highway. #teichert #emergencywork

We were honored to play a role in preserving the legacy of one of Marysville’s most beloved citizens, Cotton Rosser. It was a privilege for Teichert to build the foundation beneath his iconic statue, where he will forever tip his hat to the community. This project was for the community and brought together many dedicated teams from across the Teichert Family of Companies (Teichert Energy & Utilities Group, Teichert Construction, Teichert Materials, Western Aggregates, and Mathews Readymix LLC) along with some of our trusted partners: Conco Pumping, NorCal Equipment, GPRS, Rodriguez Portables, Morrow Surveying and White Cap. We are deeply grateful to the Rosser family for including us in this meaningful tribute and for the honor of placing a brick at Cotton's feet. Exciting news! The Hallwood Side Channel and Floodplain Restoration Project has earned an Award of Merit from Engineering News-Record California as part of their 2024 Best Projects! Yuba Water is one of several partners on the 157-acre habitat restoration effort completed last fall.
