🏗️ Our 'Driving Green Growth in the Construction Sector' project, supported by the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE), aims to increase the demand, supply, and use of #greenhousing products and services and increase the meaningful participation of #women and #young people in the #construction sector. To achieve these objectives, Habitat's Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter and Habitat for Humanity Nederland partnered with Gjenge_Makers, MycoTile, and The Toolkit for Skills and Innovation to mobilize young men and women to receive training on #renewableenergy technology skills and collecting, packing, and processing agricultural and plastic waste into durable construction materials.   🏆 The impact of this project is already being felt, with over 900 youth trained to date! Next week, the Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter will join other stakeholders in the housing finance sector across Africa at the 40th African Union for Housing Finance (AUHF) Conference and AGM, hosted in collaboration with the International Secondary Mortgage Market Association (ISMMA) and Tanzania Mortgage Refinance Company Limited (TMRC).   AUHF is a membership organization that seeks to create an enabled and productive housing finance sector across Africa, where governments and the private sector work together to develop and maintain efficient and effective housing markets and access to adequate and affordable housing for all. As a member of AUHF, we're looking forward to a week of insightful discussions and connecting with our partners across the sector.
