Last month, Texas launched the new Business Court system, which will only enhance our state’s already outstanding business climate by providing greater certainty and efficient resolution of complex business disputes. This will increase confidence for businesses that are relocating - and expanding - their companies in Texas, the “Headquarters of Headquarters.” Gov Greg Abbott. Texas has the best business climate in the galaxy, and the establishment of our Business Court system is only strengthening our gravitational pull. We're enhancing our appeal to job creators, investors, and entrepreneurs – all of whom thrive on certainty and predictability so they can expand their operations and bring more economic prosperity to our increasingly dynamic communities. As the trend of nearshoring accelerates, governments, state and local transportation authorities, and the business community must work hand-in-hand to strategize the next phase of cross-border infrastructure projects. The critical reforms undertaken this year – with the support the #Texas business community and our Congressional delegation – will play a major role in ensuring those visions can come to fruition and continue to drive prosperity and growth throughout the Texas-Mexico border region. Last week, we were honored to host Congressman August Pfluger for an engaging roundtable discussion on energy policy and the importance of maintaining Texas’ unrivaled regulatory and business landscape. During the conversation, Congressman Pfluger emphasized that Texas is the national model for fostering a pro-business environment and that there is no better place than the Lone Star State because we prioritize getting policy right. He noted that the success of local businesses is the heartbeat of our communities, and in order to support them and attract more companies to Texas, we must continue to prioritize our limited regulatory environment. Congressman Pfluger also discussed the detrimental impact of excessive regulations from Washington, D.C. that harm businesses from West Texas to the Gulf Coast. With Texas LNG exports becoming a highly sought-after commodity on the global stage, Pfluger stressed the importance of fully lifting the current federal ‘pause’ on LNG exports to avoid continued economic damage. Congressman Pfluger affirmed the need for policies across all industries that drive innovation – otherwise, we risk hindering growth and progress. At TAB, we are dedicated to ensuring that Texas remains the best state for business and thank Congressman Pfluger for his leadership and commitment to protecting our economic future! Thank you to Bill Jones for facilitating the productive conversation. Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of the horrific Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel, an event that shook the world and forever changed the lives of countless families. As we reflect on the devastating events of October 7, 2023, we remember the innocent lives lost and pray for the release of those still held hostage, including seven Americans. Our commitment to standing with Israel did not end on that tragic day, nor does our remembrance. We will continue to carry the memory of what happened, honoring the strength of the Israeli people and the enduring bonds between Texas and Israel. Today marks a year since the tragic October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel, an atrocity that tore through the lives of innocent civilians and left a nation in grief. This was the greatest loss of life for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. On that dark day, the world watched in horror as families were shattered, homes were ravaged, and the peace of ordinary life was ripped away. Many remain missing—among them, Americans—while family and friends endure the unthinkable pain of knowing loved ones are still held hostage or forever lost. Just three months ago, TAB had the honor of leading a bipartisan delegation of 11 Texas legislators to Israel, where we witnessed firsthand the resilience and fortitude of the Israeli people. Despite the deep wounds left by such a horrific attack, their unwavering spirit shone through. In the midst of immense sorrow, they stood united, drawing strength from one another and refusing to let tragedy define their future. Our time there left a lasting impact, reminding us all of the power of solidarity and hope, even in the darkest of times. As we remember this somber anniversary, our hearts go out to the victims, their families, and all those whose lives will never be the same. Their strength in the face of heartbreak challenges us all to strive for a world where peace, security, prosperity and compassion triumph over violence and despair. We will never forget the tragic and brutal terrorist attacks that occurred in Israel on October 7, 2023. In a time when too many have remained silent, we are proud to say that Texas stands with Israel. #BringThemHomeNow #TexasStandsWithIsrael Glenn Hamer Massey Villarreal Megan Mauro Gabriela Perdichizzi
