Please join us in prayer as we mourn and observe a moment of silence in honor of Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Kevin Ramirez Vasquez, who passed away this morning, surrounded by his loved ones. On September 17, Trooper Vasquez was working a crash investigation in Ector County when he was critically injured by a vehicle that struck an Ector County Sheriff's Department vehicle while he was outside. A U.S. Army veteran and recent graduate of DPS class A-23, Trooper Vasquez dedicated his life to serving others. We kindly ask for your prayers for his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. We will never forget his sacrifice. “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." Matthew 5:9
