Our team did it again! 🩷 😎 Yesterday, Rachel Wolleben, our Policy and Advocacy Coordinator, testified in support of HB 1782—a critical bill to expand access to breast and cervical cancer screenings and treatment for low-income and underserved Texas women. Raising the income limit for the Medicaid for Breast and Cervical Cancer (MBCC) Program means more women get the lifesaving care they deserve. #TXLege #BreastCancerAwareness #WomensHealth

📢 The @Texas Women’s Foundation’s latest report sheds light on a critical issue: Texas leads the nation in uninsured women—at a staggering 17%. Access to health care is inextricably linked to health insurance, yet too many Texas women are left without coverage: 🔹 1 in 4 full-time working women in Texas lacks health insurance. 🔹 41% of women below the federal poverty line are uninsured. 🔹 Young women (18-24) face the highest uninsured rates at 24%. These gaps in coverage have real consequences for women’s health. We must continue advocating for accessible, affordable health care for all Texan women.
