The Heart of the HIV Community

About us

The Aliveness Project is a Minnesota-based organization, working to empower individuals living with HIV. We do this through a variety of health and wellness. Stability in health and wellness allow for longer and healthier lives. As the first and only drop-in community center for people living with HIV in the Midwest, The Aliveness Project welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds. Our services include on-site hot meals served in our dining room, a food shelf, case management, integrative therapies (acupuncture, massage, chiropractic), health and wellness workshops, HIV testing, nutrition counseling and much more. Members choose which programs they want to use since we believe in the informed individual's right to decide the best way to handle his/her HIV. Everything we do at The Aliveness Project is made possible by our wonderful volunteers and generous donors. Thank you for your support.

  • We want to thank PFund Foundation for their quick response to support the several organizations who are finding ways to immediately provide the life-saving and life-affirming services previously provided by Rainbow Health. In times like these, it is more important than ever to stand together as a community. We all believe that our queer and trans communities are so much stronger when we are in relationship to each other. Click Here to support: https://lnkd.in/gBqi9QQE

  • The Aliveness Project is deeply saddened by Rainbow Health's sudden, unexpected closure. Rainbow Health has provided a vital role in the lives of our members and the LGBTQ+ community. Our hearts go out to the 60 staff members and thousands of clients affected by this loss. Please take care of yourself and each other. Despite the challenges we face, we firmly believe we will emerge a stronger community.

  • Huge shoutout to U.S. Senator Tina Smith for coming home & taking the time to visit Aliveness Project! Her support has been a game-changer, allowing us to expand our clinical services & open a specialty pharmacy. It was inspiring to have her tour our outreach van, food pantry, & meal program. She engagement with our staff & community members has shown us that together, we can make a difference in the lives of those living with HIV. Thank you for your unwavering support & commitment to ending HIV!

  • We want to take a moment to thank Scoular for their generous support of Aliveness Project. We had a great time presenting our services to Scoular staff during their Pride Picnic. It is amazing to see companies celebrate Pride by inviting queer organizations to speak. We are proud to partner with Scoular to work to end HIV in Minnesota.

  • What a beautiful and impactful powerful day at the Minnesota Capitol for HIV On The Hill. Our community advocated for policies that would increase access to critical prevention and care services. Thank you for sharing your personal stories and lobbying important HIV/AIDS related bills. We wanted to give a special thank you to the Minnesota Queer Legislators Caucus for joining us for us this afternoon and bringing your energy into the space. This work is not possible without YOU. Your voices are powerful and today you made them heard!♥️♥️♥️
