Receiving a diagnosis of a life-threatening, chronic, or rare disease can be devastating. Beyond the physical and financial toll of a diagnosis, patients often pay a heavy emotional price as well. TAF’s Patient Advocates understand that people calling to seek our assistance need empathy and support. As TAF Patient Advocate Gineris Ortiz said in this weekend’s CBS Sunday Morning segment about the use of artificial intelligence in the customer service industry, “When you call, sometimes you just need someone to listen.” That’s why artificial intelligence will never replace human connection. UPDATE: An email went out today with 2025 reenrollment directions, including options to apply for reenrollment by text, email, online, QR code, or paper application. Your patient's 2025 reenrollment dates are dependent on whether they are in the Purple or Blue Reenrollment Groups. Visit www.tafcares.org/reenroll to confirm patient group and reenrollment dates. Purple Reenrollment Group Time Period: Nov. 6 to Nov. 22 Blue Reenrollment Group Time Period: Dec. 4 to Dec. 20 If your patient did not receive an email, they can call (855) 845-3663 to ensure we have their current contact information. Postcards with the same reenrollment directions will be mailed this week.
