Starting November 27, the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requires pharma manufacturers to trace and track medications from the point of manufacture to the patient. Axia has been on the leading edge of research innovation for nearly two years, testing RFID-enabled systems for DSCSA compliance. Our 2023 "Pilot Study: DSCSA and the Pharmaceutical Chain" was referenced by Jay Williams of Intelliguard® in Pharmacy Times recently for its findings of flexibility, visibility and optimization of medication tracking. Axia’s commitment to solving this supply chain challenge continues as Phase II is underway with guidance from the Pilot Advisory Panel (including Intelliguard), a real-world simulation of medication moving from the point of manufacture to the patient. Your first smartphone. It came loaded with so many apps and features it was tempting to try all of them. Over time, you found the ones that you live by. Like that first smartphone, implementing a visibility system using AIDC and EPCIS technologies will give you more data than you need. But with careful decision-making and planning, your system will give you what you need. At our Traceability Across Industries Value Chain Summit (Oct. 21-22), Ned Mears of GS1 US will facilitate a discussion to design a visibility system that provides the data you need. Join us in Midland, Mich. Registration is open! https://lnkd.in/g8rqZSsD
