When Speed, Price and Accuracy Matters

About us

The Background Check Company is a full service employment screening and background check company helping over 4,000 clients throughout the country. We’ve built our business with a customer first mindset. We’ve done this by focusing on accuracy, compliance, speed and price. - Accuracy: We have dedicated staff that review all background checks prior to being sent to our clients. - Compliance: Our senior customer service agents and technicians are required to earn their Basic FCRA Certification from the NAPBS - Speed: We have an average turnaround time of 8 hours on more than 1 million searches quarterly last year. This allows us to support and not hold up our clients in their hiring efforts. (could you imagine waiting 10, 15 or 20 days for a background check, you shouldn’t) - Price: We’ve married technology with competent, caring, detail oriented professionals. Technology has made us more efficient and we are passing along the savings from those efficiencies to our customers. We’d love the chance to introduce ourselves, show you our process and portal, and demonstrate first hand how our customer first approach has allowed us to maintain a 98% retention rate.

  • Feeling appreciated at work goes a long way. Studies show that nearly three-quarters of employees would remain at their job longer if they felt regularly recognized for their contributions. This highlights a key HR trend—employee recognition is crucial for boosting engagement, reducing turnover, and improving workplace culture. Incorporating recognition programs into your HR strategy could be the missing piece to retaining top talent. How are you making sure your team feels valued?

  • Internal fraud is a widespread problem that affects organizations of all sizes. According to the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), organizations lose an estimated 5% of their annual revenue to fraud, with nearly half of that attributed to internal fraud. This is why a credit check is a valuable hiring tool. A credit check ensures that the individual you hire manages their own finances prudently, which is often a strong indicator of how they will handle company resources. It also mitigates the risk of fraud or financial mismanagement by identifying any patterns of poor credit history, such as excessive debt or defaults. • Are you familiar with the term negligent hiring liability? As an employer, you have a legal responsibility to ensure that any employees you hire are safe and trustworthy. This comes down to a question of foreseeability: if you knew, or should have known, that an employee was a threat to the public, the burden of liability comes to rest with you. If an employee is found to be incompetent, and if this incompetence results in an injury that brings a lawsuit, you may be found guilty of negligent hiring. The easiest way to prevent this concern is to verify and check each hire. At TBCC, we offer a range of services to help you hire with confidence! Visit https://lnkd.in/gUt7enjp to learn more.

  • Let's talk about one key HR trend from this year… Hybrid work environments. 👇 There's been a lot of chatter in the news about companies requiring employees to return to the office. According to an ADP survey, 64% of workers reported that they would consider quitting if asked to return to the office full-time. In addition, research proves that remote schedules correlate to revenue growth that's 4x faster than companies with stringent attendance policies. As we head into 2025, companies need to accept that hybrid working and flexible schedules are here to stay. In order to attract top talent, revisit your policies and what they mean for your business. Follow along for more HR trends and tips!

  • Employers should run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check on potential hires to ensure safety, manage risk, and protect their business. This check verifies that candidates have a clean driving history. Here are just a few reasons why you should include this in your hiring process: ✔️ Reduces the risk of accidents and legal liabilities. ✔️ Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, particularly in industries like transportation. ✔️ Minimizes the company's liability exposure in the event of an accident. ✔️ A clean driving record reflects a company's commitment to professionalism and safety, which enhances its image among clients and customers. ✔️ For businesses that rely on company vehicles, MVR checks protect valuable assets and help avoid costly repairs caused by negligent driving. • Clear communication during the hiring and interviewing process is key to attracting and retaining the right talent for your business. 🔑 From the job posting to the final offer, transparency ensures candidates understand the role, company culture, and expectations. When interviewers clearly communicate timelines, next steps, and feedback, it keeps candidates engaged and fosters trust. This not only improves the candidate experience but also reflects positively on your company's professionalism and organization. Miscommunication or lack of clarity can cause confusion, frustration, and potentially lead to losing top candidates. A clear, open line of communication builds a strong foundation for a successful working relationship and helps ensure both parties are aligned from the start.
