We were proud to be present at The Hakeem Jeffries Annual Senior Picnic on August 27, where we connected with the community. It was a great opportunity to partner with leaders like House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, NYS Senator Roxanna Persaud, NYS Assembly Member Jamie Williams, and NYC Council Member Mercedes Narcisse to support our local seniors. We're always here to promote health and wellness in our community.

  • THBC is pleased to continue our summer tradition providing backpacks and school supplies with our Ed Becote Back-to-School Drive. This initiative begun in 2018 by the TBHC Patient Transport Team and was championed by our late colleague Ed Becote, who was one of the drive’s biggest advocates. Upon his passing in 2020, we made it an annual effort in his memory. Over the years we have raised thousands of dollars going directly towards school supplies for kids in nearby shelters. This year we surpassed our target of $6,000 and so opened up our efforts to the community. More than 200 backpacks, filled with supplies were given away to families who came to yesterday's event!

  • Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) has been awarded a grant from Exact Sciences' FOCUS Program. TBHC is one of 28 organizations sharing $1.5 million to improve colorectal cancer screening rates and make healthcare more accessible for underserved communities. The funding will support community outreach, education and screening services, aiming to reduce the incidence and mortality rates of colorectal cancer in our area.

  • TBHC joined forces with the NYPD 88th Precinct to celebrate National Night earlier this month! We had a wonderful time connecting with our neighbors and showcasing our range of services, including pediatrics, pharmacy, cardiology, family medicine, dental, women’s health, and the PATH center. Captain Michael E. Goodchild of the 88th Precinct and Pastor Alex Williams made special appearances, further strengthening our community ties. It was a fantastic Tuesday evening spent with our Emergency Department, Volunteer Department, and many others.

This ranking, which included 128 hospitals in New York State, reflects TBHC's efforts to improve patient outcomes, enhance safety protocols and maintain high standards of clinical excellence. A huge thank you to our dedicated team and supportive community for making this achievement possible. Together, we continue to provide exceptional care.
