This week, I had the pleasure of sitting down with my peer and friend, Anilu Vazquez-Ubarri, Chief Operating Officer @TPG, for a fireside chat co-hosted by Carlyle and TPG in celebration of #HispanicHeritageMonth. It was a meaningful conversation where we explored Anilu’s background, growing up with her Latin American heritage, her career journey, and lessons she’s learned along the way.   Anilu shared invaluable insights on leadership in the asset management industry, as well as her advice for future generations, reflecting on how her grandmother instilled the importance of self-worth early on. Inspired by those lessons, she shared: “You’re worth it. You’re there because you deserve it. It’s a very critical thing to tell yourself. I benefitted from having very strong women in my life.”   I believe it’s crucial to drive awareness and foster community through our spheres of influence, sharing powerful stories like Anilu's that exemplify how we can lead meaningful change across the industry and beyond.   A special thank you to our Multicultural ERG and the TPG team for making this event possible and to all who joined the conversation. It’s moments like these that remind me how much our shared experiences and diverse backgrounds strengthen our community at Carlyle and beyond.   #OneCarlyle
