Thank you to the Boca Raton Observer who celebrated us last month with a feature celebrating the nearly $1 million in funding we secured through a Cultural Capital Fund Grant, approved unanimously in June by a 7-0 vote by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners and the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County. This project truly would not be possible without the support and recognition we continue to receive from our surrounding community, including the City of Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, and the greater State of Florida who share the same vision we do. In creating a world-class campus right here in Boca Raton, we aim to elevate the overall culture of our community stretching beyond the walls of our building from education, to business, and the arts. At The Center for Arts & Innovation, Inc., one of our core pillars is education—empowering the leaders of tomorrow by fostering the essential role of creativity in innovation. In today’s 21st-century creative and information economy, skills like critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptability are increasingly essential. Florida Atlantic University, a pillar of education in our community, also upholds these values. It was at FAU that our Founder and CEO Andrea Virgin, PE, LEED AP first developed these critical skills which have catapulted her and The Center's success to where we are today. These same principles that have helped propel us forward are still being offered to the students attending FAU under the expert guidance of Dr. Fred Bloetscher, Dr. Hongbo Su, and Albert Muniz, P.E. We're incredibly grateful to not only have the support of an esteemed educational institution, but a partner who truly shares the same vision as ourselves to uplift the education of our greater community. Kudos to FAU, the professors, and the hardworking students who will certainly serve as the future leaders of tomorrow, right here in Boca Raton!
