  • Creativity often thrives in unexpected ways, and new research suggests that what may sometimes be seen as a challenge can also be a superpower. In an article by Scientific American, the creative strengths of individuals with ADHD are explored, highlighting how traits such as divergent thinking and conceptual expansion allow for innovation and problem-solving that defy conventional boundaries. At The Center for Arts & Innovation, Inc., we believe in creating spaces that nurture this kind of exploration and creativity in all individuals. Whether in the arts, education, business, or innovation, we are committed to fostering an environment where diverse thinking leads to groundbreaking solutions. By embracing different perspectives, we can unlock new ways of thinking that drive both personal growth and societal progress. October is ADHD Awareness Month, and at The Center, we want to provide the space and support for people to explore their creativity, and discover how what might be seen as a disability could actually be the key to unlocking extraordinary innovation. #ADHD #ADHDAwareness #Creativity #Education

  • Thank you to the Boca Raton Observer who celebrated us last month with a feature celebrating the nearly $1 million in funding we secured through a Cultural Capital Fund Grant, approved unanimously in June by a 7-0 vote by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners and the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County. This project truly would not be possible without the support and recognition we continue to receive from our surrounding community, including the City of Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, and the greater State of Florida who share the same vision we do. In creating a world-class campus right here in Boca Raton, we aim to elevate the overall culture of our community stretching beyond the walls of our building from education, to business, and the arts. • At The Center for Arts & Innovation, Inc., one of our core pillars is education—empowering the leaders of tomorrow by fostering the essential role of creativity in innovation. In today’s 21st-century creative and information economy, skills like critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptability are increasingly essential. Florida Atlantic University, a pillar of education in our community, also upholds these values. It was at FAU that our Founder and CEO Andrea Virgin, PE, LEED AP first developed these critical skills which have catapulted her and The Center's success to where we are today. These same principles that have helped propel us forward are still being offered to the students attending FAU under the expert guidance of Dr. Fred Bloetscher, Dr. Hongbo Su, and Albert Muniz, P.E. We're incredibly grateful to not only have the support of an esteemed educational institution, but a partner who truly shares the same vision as ourselves to uplift the education of our greater community. Kudos to FAU, the professors, and the hardworking students who will certainly serve as the future leaders of tomorrow, right here in Boca Raton!

  • Creativity is defined as ‘the execution of an idea, which has both originality and value.’ This week, we celebrated our partnerships with the City, County, and State, wherein they underscored the 'value' of creativity through their tremendous support, sending a clear message of their belief that creativity drives growth, innovation, and a more connected community. This backing paves the way for a fresh understanding of creativity’s transformative power—an essential yet often overlooked force shaping our world. By aligning with the forward-thinking values of our governmental partners, this project unlocks opportunities not just for artists and students, but for businesses, the economy, and a new era where creativity is seen for its value in building vibrant, thriving communities. A big thank you to all of our Board Members, Capital Donors, Founders, Community Partners, and Elected Officials who attended this wonderful celebration including State Representative Peggy Gossett-Seidman, State Senator Tina Scott Polsky, Esq., State Representative David Silvers, Legislative Aide Walter Buikus (representing State Representative and Sponsor Mike Caruso), Palm Beach County Commissioner Marci Woodward (District 5), Dave Lawrence, President and CEO of the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, City of Boca Raton Deputy Mayor Yvette Drucker, and Boca Raton Councilwoman and CRA Chair Fran Nachlas. #palmbeachcounty #artsandculture #tourism #community
