Our focus is on education professionals who serve distressed and at-risk populations — children at risk of academic failure, young children with special needs, students from linguistically and culturally diverse backgrounds, refugees and immigrants. We also serve professionals that work with adults who seek to advance their position by obtaining U.S. citizenship, a GED, improved language skills, or basic skills needed to hold and advance from service jobs.

Today, we were honored to join our friends at the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chicago (JCCC) Foundation for the presentation of their annual community grants, and our own Silvia V. Rogel and Dr. Steven Isoye, Chairman of the ISBE Board of Directors, were among the speakers. The IRC is proud to partner with the JCCC with the process of selecting recipients for the Student Development & Achievement grants. It is always a joy to learn more about the transformative work these grants support. Thank you to the JCCC for all you do to boost education, language and cultural exchange in Chicago and congratulations to all the organizations who were honored with grants!
