In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on some of the amazing individuals we support who are thriving in their jobs within the community, as well as their employers who make inclusion a priority! A familiar face in Regis College's Student Center dining hall (Regis College Dining) the past six years, Allison works quickly and efficiently as she wipes down tables during the lull between breakfast and lunch. Three days a week, Allison is hard at work from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. She takes The Ride to and from work, and if she gets to Regis early, “I can get coffee!” she says with a smile. When she’s not working at Regis, Allison volunteers in Newton-Wellesley Hospital Hospital’s nutrition department on Wednesdays. Thursdays are spent at the Grugan Center, with the monthly cooking group – especially when spaghetti and meatballs are on the menu - a favorite activity. Allison describes her boss – Denis Da Silva Manager of Collegiate Hospitality at Regis – as a “cool manager.” And Denis is equally as complimentary about her. “Allison is a great person,” he said. “Her work ethic is stellar. I’m very happy to have her on the team.” Recognizing the importance of ensuring all people have equal opportunity to contribute their skills and talents, we congratulate Allison on a job well done and thank Regis College for its partnership in providing a warm and welcoming work environment!

Last week, we’re honoring our incredible Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) ❤️ who go above and beyond every day to support individuals with disabilities. To show our appreciation, we brought the Kona Ice Truck to all three Charles River Center locations, provided new swag to all staff members and all DSPs were entered into a daily raffle for prizes! Our DSPs are the heart and soul of what we do, and we’re so grateful for their dedication, compassion, and the amazing work they do, often behind the scenes. THANK YOU! 🎉
