20 years in Richmond, VA! As we celebrate two decades, we’re especially grateful for the incredible staff who’ve been with us since our first year. Prep Cook Javier has been essential, working through18 new restaurant openings. “I love what I do! City Creek Center celebrated a special milestone this weekend: an all-female line. Jose, our Senior 2 Kitchen Manager, recognized the significance of the occasion by thanking each woman for her passion, pride, and commitment to excellence. Ara is doing big things! A refugee of Iraq, Ara joined The Cheesecake Factory in 2014 as a dishwasher and did not speak a word of English. Through his hard work, dedication and passion for food, Ara quickly climbed the ranks of our kitchens. Through his humbled attitude, positivity and ability to connect with everyone he meets, Ara has drastically improved shift quality and team engagement. H is team says Ara is a great mentor and a good friend. He's proven nothing is impossible. Last year, Ara was recognized as our Commitment to Excellence Winner for the Kitchen Manager work group and now we're so excited to announce he has been promoted to Executive Kitchen Manager! For Walter, it’s been the “sense of family and community” that makes coming to work each day a joy. Jose values the balance we’ve built – “the consistency in our schedule and the flexibility when needing time off.” Herber finds happiness in the relationships built over the years, sharing that “everyone here feels like family.” Emily’s story is one of incredible growth. “I started as a brand-new server, and through the years of development, I’m now the General Manager. Every week in Henderson, NV, we welcome a very special guest—Barbara. With her infectious energy and sweet personality, she has become a beloved part of our Cheesecake family.   When Hosts Taylor and Kyle spot Barbara pulling into the parking lot, they always ensure someone is there to escort her safely inside and back out after her meal. And if she hasn’t come by for her usual visit, our staff makes it a point to call and check on her.   General Manager Heather discovered she and Barbara shared the same upcoming birthday. Barbara had no family in town, so Franklyn and the team pulled off an amazing celebration. On their day off, staff members Divine, Patricia, Kyra, Kyle, Taylor, and Franklyn’s wife, Senior Manager Raziya, all came together to throw Barbara a special birthday lunch.   As if that wasn’t enough, when Taylor, Kyle, and Kyra learned that Barbara’s walker had been stolen, they took it upon themselves to collect funds and buy her a new one. Barbara was amazed by the team’s kindness and shared that this was her first birthday party since childhood. It’s a day she said she will never forget—and neither will we.   Thank you to the entire Henderson team for being #soCheesecake.
