We were honored to be part of the groundbreaking for Batter & Berries' new Austin location. An early, patient, and flexible loan from TREND and the Chicago Community Loan Fund in 2020 made this expansion to Chicago Avenue possible. Early capital like this is essential for neighborhood development, which can take years of hard work and dedication to reach this stage. We can’t wait to see how this new space will not only bring incredible food to Austin but also serve as a vibrant community hub on the West Side. Congratulations to Juan Teague , Craig Richardson , and the entire Batter & Berries team for their vision and dedication, as well as the many partners who helped bring the vision to fruition! #CommunityDevelopment #SmallBusiness #ChicagoNeighborhoods #TRENDImpact #EconomicImpact
