Last week, we had an incredible Day of Learning! Our team came together for an immersive session, "Moving Past Inclusion into Affirmation, Cultivating Spaces of Belonging and Allyship," led by Lex Horwitz. Lex shared their powerful journey as the first out transgender athlete in their sport and guided us through essential topics such as intersectionality, the spectrum of belonging, and critical gender concepts. It was an impactful experience that provided our team with practical tools to foster belonging and support for all. Visiting Nurse Association Health Group

Our team is proudly wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! In partnership with CentraState Healthcare System, University Radiology/Jersey Shore Imaging, and RWJBarnabas Health Breast Center, our Cancer Education and Early Detection (CEED) Program offers FREE mammograms to eligible individuals. This service is available for those without insurance or with limited coverage. Last weekend, we enjoyed a day of community and health at the Wellness Rocks event! With 90 attendees, 33 partners, and 67 participants, the event featured health exhibitors, free screenings, cancer care guidance, low-cost health insurance information, and free vaccines. Monmouth Parents as Teachers (PAT) kicked off their "Managing Anger" series this month! Families joined an open discussion using the New Jersey Department of Children and Families Parent Handbook and resources from the Parents as Teachers curriculum to explore positive ways to manage anger, practice discipline, and create healthy routines. Families also created personalized Family Goal Plans and learned a calming breathing technique. Don’t miss the second session on December 12th! #VNAHG #CFHI

September is Food Safety Education Month, and we’re here to ensure the health and safety of families through our Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). WIC provides nutrition education, counseling, vouchers for nutritious food, and breastfeeding support from lactation consultants.
