Our time at the historic Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) headquarters provided a captivating setting for our “Churchill and the Changing Nature of Leadership” discussion. Amb. Mitchell Reiss, Sarah Sands, Jan Hall, and Matthew Palmer joined us to further explore the evolving qualities of leadership, reflecting on lessons from Sir Winston Churchill’s legacy and what they mean for us today. In partnership with the The English-Speaking Union (ESU), we were inspired by three speakers, whose presentations underscored the ESU’s dedication to helping young people develop the speaking and listening skills crucial for success in today’s changing world. Their courage and eloquence were truly inspiring and served as a reminder of Churchill’s belief in the next generation. We were also delighted to hear Tim Riley from America’s National Churchill Museum, and artist Paul Rafferty, who shared a fascinating talk on Churchill’s use of painting as an antidote to his frequent bouts of depression. A heartfelt thanks to RUSI for their exceptional hosting, and we’re excited to continue building this partnership which was instigated by Laurence Geller CBE. With an impressive turnout and highly engaged attendees, these discussions brought Churchill’s leadership values to life. #Churchill #ThinkChurchill #WinstonChurchill RUSI NextGen
