Malaysiah Shé'awéé' John (She/her) is a member of the Navajo Nation. Malaysiah is a first-year scholar and is freshman this Fall at Arizona State University (ASU). Over the summer she was selected as a Peer Mentor Ambassador for ASU’s 2024 Inspire program where she served to empower Native youth to pursue higher education. “As a former participant of Inspire myself, I was so excited when I was selected to have the opportunity to give back to the program and also help alongside the staff as a Peer Mentor Ambassador,” Malaysiah said. “I can relate to who they are and where they are coming from because I was once in their shoes. It feels amazing to give back” We are so excited to support you in your upcoming educational journey, we believe in you! #CobellScholarship #Cobell #Scholarships #Indigenous #scholarspotlight

Today we celebrate the people who first called this land home. We remember the hardships and tragedies they faced and the strength and resilience they have shown. We honor their place in the story of America, while we continue to march forward for Indigenous equity, representation, and reclaiming our flourishing and vibrant heritage. #CobellScholarship #Cobell #Scholarships #Indigenous #Indigenouspeoplesday
