Tim Bresnahan, vice president of advancement & philanthropic services, joined Rose Scott and other local nonprofit leaders for the March installment of WABE's Coffee Conversations. The topic: the future of next-generation philanthropy and attracting new donors to nontraditional causes. The discussion turned to older donors being more likely to give out of responsibility or obligation than younger donors. Tim shared that younger donors also give out of a sense of duty as they see needs on social media: "They see the world around them and they are feeling the impact and they want to do something about it." ☕ Grab a cup of coffee and listen to the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/e2JHjm3b

In celebration of #WomensHistoryMonth, meet the inspiring women who lead on our Board! Soumaya Khalifa shares her journey of identity and community: "My family moved to the US when I was 12. Through the years, I did not really fit in and I tried to assimilate. When I fully embraced my many identities, I wanted to help people regain their identities and build bridges of understanding between the metro Atlanta Muslim communities and the wider community. This is how the ISB was born." Learn more about ISB Atlanta and its work to make sure Muslims are seen, included and understood by visiting isbatlanta.org. In celebration of #WomensHistoryMonth, meet the inspiring women who lead on our Board! Johanna Ellis Reisinger shares the lessons she’s learned from her mother: “My mother was my primary mentor, guiding me through our family business with unwavering strength and determination. As a woman working in the male-dominated automotive industry for decades, she taught me invaluable lessons, including the importance of resilience and never being afraid of a challenging situation. Her tenacity and pioneering spirit paved the way for my own career, showing me that with hard work, courage and a keen sense of humor, barriers can be broken. I continue to carry her wisdom with me in every step of my journey. Who are the women in your life who have shaped your journey? Tag them or share your story in the comments!
