Big news for Nashville! Imagine Nashville has released its final report, offering a bold vision for the next decade,.
The research is crystal clear: Nashville’s future depends on building a city where everyone feels they belong. Co-chair Rev. John Faison, Sr. emphasized that the goal isn’t just growth—it’s ensuring that all Nashvillians thrive. This means focusing on critical issues like attainable housing, accessible transit, and raising the standard of living for all.
Key goals for 2035 include:
🏘️ Producing or preserving 50,000 affordable housing units
🚌 Increasing the percentage of Nashvillians commuting by foot, bike, carpool, or transit to 20%
💼 Connecting more residents to good-paying jobs and reducing ALICE households by 10%
With a steering committee made up of local nonprofits, faith groups, businesses, and government offices, Imagine Nashville is ready to implement these recommendations and transform our city.
"Our goal here is to really create world-class, public, nonprofit, philanthropic partnerships that advance each priority," CFMT's CEO Hal Cato said. "Each team will be led by leaders from the public and nonprofit sector and charged with developing a multiyear scope of work that aligns to clear, actionable and measurable strategies that will be supported by implementation team coordinators."
