Every student has the potential to thrive and achieve great things when they are supported by a community and organizations that believe in their ability to succeed. The school-to-prison pipeline is a disturbing pattern in which students, particularly those from underserved and underrepresented communities, are funneled out of public schools and into the criminal justice system due to policies that focus on punishment rather than healing and accountability. That's why the National Conflict Resolution Center and Prebys Foundation are partnering to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline through the expansion of NCRC’s restorative programming for youth, parents, school districts, and community members. Together, we are investing in our youth to ensure they have every opportunity to flourish. Keep your eyes on this page for exciting updates on our work together! #prebysfoundation #ncrc #nationalconflictresolutioncenter #restorativejustice #schooltoprisonpipeline #youth #youthempowerment

This past summer, San Diego Opera hosted Equal Voices, a free community concert series showcasing the talents of amazing artists like Guadalupe Paz, Tony Baek, and conductor Bruce Stasyna. This series highlighted the rich tapestry of diverse voices and cultures that connect us through music. 🎭 #PrebysFoundation is proud to support San Diego Opera's mission of delivering exceptional performances and accessible programs to the community through our Arts and Culture Landscape Initiative. 🖤 📷 sandiegoopera / IG #SanDiegoArts #Philanthropy

Enjoy this glimpse into our recent visit to Tijuana, where we met with local groups and visited Centro Cultural Tijuana - CECUT to celebrate the city's vibrant art and culture scene. 🎨🌟 Our visit underscores how our border serves as a powerful asset for collaboration, offering a wealth of diverse perspectives and stories. These contributions enrich San Diego County and inspire creativity across our unique tri-national area, encompassing communities from San Diego, Tijuana, and the Kumeyaay Nation. As the largest independent private foundation in San Diego County, Prebys Foundation's point of view on strategy incorporates a deep commitment to learning from the community. Reflecting the rich diversity of our community, our team is instrumental in executing our strategic plan, which emphasizes building robust connections with artists, researchers, healthcare providers, civic leaders, indigenous nations, BIPOC communities, youth, and more. 🌎 🤝🏾 #PrebysFoundation #SanDiegoCounty
