The Copper Mark and The Molybdenum Mark Awards | Cadia We are pleased to announce that Newmont Australia Cadia has been awarded both The Copper Mark and The Molybdenum Mark! Cadia is the first Newmont site to participate in the assurance programme and receive the awards. It is the largest underground mine in Australia and the second largest producer of Copper in the country. Now ~35% of Copper in Australia is produced at sites that have The Copper Mark. ERG's site Metalkol in the Democratic Republic of Congo has signed a Letter of Commitment and started working in our assurance process. This site reprocesses tailings and is the first of its kind to join us.  It is exciting that our assurance framework is recognized by actors along the value chain of copper and is being implemented by different types of sites that responsibly produce, source or recycle metals.

The Copper Mark Award | Naoshima and Onahama We are pleased to share that the Naoshima smelting & refinery site, belonging to Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, and the Onahama smelting & refinery site, belonging to Onahama Smelting and Refinery Co., Ltd., have been awarded The Copper Mark! They became a Participant of The Copper Mark in December 2023 and over the last 10 months have shown a commitment to continuous improvement and responsible production by creating initiatives to further engage on ESG matters within the Group.
