Our thoughts are with everyone affected by Hurricane Helene, which caused severe flooding and power outages in Asheville, NC, and the surrounding areas this weekend. We’re relieved to share that all of our employees and their families in the Southeast are safe.   Unfortunately, our Country Malt Group warehouse in Asheville has been impacted by flooding and will remain closed until further notice. Our teams are actively working on alternate routes to ensure continued product delivery for our customers during this time. Any orders from the Asheville Distribution Center will be automatically redirected from another warehouse, and customers typically serviced out of the Asheville facility will receive updates from their sales reps shortly.   We extend our heartfelt sympathies to those who have suffered losses and will continue seeking ways to support the Asheville community. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this challenging situation. #ashevillestrong

The spring barley growing season is officially underway and farmers are hard at work preparing for another busy harvest. In this episode of The BrewDeck Podcast, we're going behind the scenes with a couple of our barley farmers: Jeff Gibson from Tyche Ag in South Central Idaho and Wade McAllister from Antler Valley Farms in Central Alberta. They walk us through how they got into farming, the history of their farms, what they grow in addition to barley. Barley is one of the most complex crops in the agriculture industry. It requires greater care, hard labor, and a special craft, just like your beer. We ask our guests some hard-hitting questions about the importance of crop rotation, barley growing challenges, and the status of this current growing season. As we approach the 2024 spring barley harvest, join us in raising a glass to the barley farmers that make our favorite craft beverages possible! Listen on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
