The world is waking up to the fact that for women, life gets better after 40, and companies need to pay better attention to our influence, needs and buying power. That’s why we picked Life After 40 as the theme for our spring Table For Eight dinner series. Members across the country discussed how they’ve evolved as women with more agency; as leaders better at articulating their opinions, needs and vision; and as changemakers who care less about outside expectations. As always, all our partners were women owned businesses. Last night, Jessica (Spivack) Lowenstein and I hosted our first Female Founder dinner of the year together (after she had her baby!) and damn it feels good to be together again. We gathered 20 amazing women who are doing incredible things at an old restored church in Harlem for an enchanting evening of truth telling, creativity and deep connections. Collaborations were formed... Seeds were planted.... And new friendships are beginning.... It's incredible to watch the magic that unfolds in the room when women come together. These dinners never cease to amaze and inspire me. Oh to be a fly on the wall at one of our The WIE Suite  #TableForEight dinners. Sadly I don’t personally get to sit down for long. There are way too many. I just jump in a car and whizz from gathering to gathering trying to catch as many snippets as I can of all the deeply rich conversations. For our year end series, we tackled workplace culture, what companies get wrong and how to do it right. The insight was a veritable treasure trove. More to come on that.
