Wendy McGrady was recently interviewed by Sally Ehrenfried, Leader of Government Relations at Blackbaud. Along with Jennifer Roberts (Vice President, Development Operations for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital) and Carrie Cobb (Chief Data Officer for Blackbaud), they discuss findings from the Giving USA Annual Report on Philanthropy, including using the report's data to connect with donors and the overall potential to use this data to make a significant impact on the world. We're so proud of Wendy for continuing to champion research on philanthropy trends in her new role as Chair of the Giving USA Foundation, and for sharing insights with our community through this podcast interview. About us
The Curtis Group is committed to promoting philanthropy and helping nonprofits plan their future, build awareness, and raise substantial amounts of money. Since our founding in 1989, The Curtis Group has raised hundreds of millions of dollars and worked with nearly 200 nonprofits across all sectors: arts and cultural, educational, environment and animals, civic and public affairs, human services, and health care. We have met the rigorous standards of the prestigious Giving Institute, an organization composed of nearly 50 of North America’s leading fundraising consulting firms. As a Giving Institute member, we are involved in Giving USA, the annual report on philanthropy; contribute to ongoing thought leadership on philanthropy; and have access to important statistics, reports, and projections on giving and fundraising. Curtis Group’s principals are frequent presenters for many national and regional industry and sector conferences, and have each contributed articles to national philanthropy trade publications.

Keith Curtis, Wendy McGrady, Kaitlin Robb and Lauren Greene had a fantastic evening sponsoring and moderating the Academy for Nonprofit Excellence’s Funders Forum. Two of the overarching messages of the evening were passion and gratitude. So along those lines, we are thankful for the incredible nonprofits leaders and funders who took time out of their day to share their passion and for all the nonprofits doing the day-to-day work to make our region such a great place to live. Special thanks to Keith's fellow panelists, Tonya Byrd with Dominion Energy, Alonzo Brandon with Old Dominion University, Nancy Porter with BayPort Credit Union, Christopher Tan with Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, and Sarah Taylor with THE BLOCKER FOUNDATION.
