Presidential election betting markets moved dramatically in the final weekend before the election as Vice President Kamala Harris continues to close the gap on former President Donald Trump. Trump was as low as a -123 favorite Sunday at Betfair Exchange in London to win the election over Harris, a +120 underdog. Trump was as high as -210 on Wednesday. Sunshine Laundry and Dry Cleaners has been washing and pressing shirts for customers on Maple Avenue in Dallas for 83 years. Frank Ashmore, whose family founded the company, has worked in the shop since he was 11 and remembers a lot of good times there. But he also recalls when the business has struggled, like when construction has limited public access to the Ashmores’ property. It’s an issue he fears could become permanent if Dallas officials move forward with a proposal to reduce the number of lanes on Maple Avenue between Mockingbird Lane and Oak Lawn Avenue.
