The brand’s primary #typography transforms as bread does, going from “underdone” to “well-done.” The underdone font has softer and less defined shapes, representing potential, while the well-done font is crisper and bolder. The North American 7UP #redesign is much more restrained than its international counterpart performed last year by PepsiCo. This was no “make the logo bigger” overhaul, and the #refresh is more subtle than anything else, with buoyant bubbles and clear copy denoting flavors added to multipacks. But what’s especially curious about the redesign is what actually remains, as the brand has opted to keep using a green PET bottle. When most people think about gelatin, old-fashioned desserts in funky molds and grotesque “salads” come to mind. But those boxes of flavored gelatin are usually inexpensive and serve as a cheap base for a sweet treat. Gelée is a new brand that aims to change possible preconceived notions about gelatin. In fact, they like to think of themselves as “luminous jelly euphoria.” The brand returns to the glory days of jiggly desserts fancifully molded and crafted with additional ingredients to create elevated desserts and dishes but upgraded for today’s more affluent consumer.
