Corruption has long been a problem for the LAC. A new report by Transparency International illustrates mixed results for the region, with larger Latin American countries becoming increasingly corrupt over the year, writes Scott MacDonald. ✔️ The new index highlights the continued deterioration of most country ratings over the past several years. ✔️ The most corrupt countries are Haiti (168th), Nicaragua (172nd) and Venezuela (178th). ✔️ Corruption remains a major factor in the Americas, including in its largest economies.
