Pause. Reflect. Choose. I've been a fan of the power of the pause since my days directing regional theatre. I learned that the essential skill of pausing in a heightened moment is the key to developing mindful intention. In live performance, a pause is used to deepen or shift the direction of the story. It sharpens the focus and awareness on a new piece of information. In the moments following the pause, invariably something, whether subtle or profound, has changed. At work, taking a pause amid a busy, chaotic, or otherwise overloaded day allows for the opportunity to create an energy shift, to release stress, and to move from reaction-based engagement to a more intentional focus to the present moment's priorities. #liveandleadwell #theenergyadvantage #becausewerhuman

This Forbes piece highlights a recent, expansive McKinsey Health Institute survey confirming the “integral connection between job satisfaction and overall wellbeing” and underscoring the need necessity for organizations “to pivot and design workplaces that support the complete health spectrum of their employees, creating a harmonious balance between work demands and personal wellbeing”. The findings revealed that those who report positive experiences at work also indicated better holistic health. They were also more innovative and demonstrated enhanced job performance.
