  • Our Supply Chain teams in Belgium were honored to recently host representatives from European Commission, European Parliament, and Permanent Representation of Belgium to the European Union at our Oevel manufacturing and fulfillment campus. ELC collaborated with Cosmetics Europe - The Personal Care Association and Detic to organize the visit, which focused on showing EU policymakers the latest developments in safety, sustainability, innovation, and transparency at ELC and across the European cosmetics industry.

  • FIRST BALMAIN BEAUTY FLAGSHIP STORE OPENS IN PARIS The opening of the first-ever Balmain Beauty boutique was celebrated on September 26 by Creative Director Olivier Rousteing and Carbone de Balmain’s ambassador Dove Cameron in the vibrant Le Marais district of Paris. The boutique features the Sense Portal, an exclusive multisensorial technology patented by The Estée Lauder Companies, that invites visitors to touch, see, smell, hear, and feel each of the eight Les Éternels de Balmain fragrances.     Celebrating the 2024 Inspiring Women in Science Award Shortlist for Science Outreach! We are honoured to recognize the incredible organizations working tirelessly to inspire and empower women and girls in STEM around the world. These initiatives are driving change and opening doors to a more inclusive future in science. Women in Technology in Nigeria(WITIN)'s Girls STEM Clubs & Outreaches provides hands-on STEM programs, mentorship, and resources for socio-economically disadvantaged girls in Nigeria, igniting their interest in STEM careers and nurturing leadership potential. The collaborative community at Red MenTe from Ideas en Acción has empowered 5,800 Costa Rican women in STEM fields through tailored programs, partnerships with leading tech companies, and support for women of all ages. Women in Data Science Trinidad and Tobago empowers women and girls in data science through workshops, mentorship, and career opportunities, fostering collaboration across academia, industry, and communities. For 14 years, Education & Cultural Society Bangladesh has been promoting STEM education for girls in marginalized communities in Bangladesh, establishing 100 STEM clubs and reaching over 1 million girls with direct access to STEM education. Enhancing Women's Employment in Technology an initiative by the Internet Society which empowers marginalized Zimbabwean women with tech training and connectivity, helping them build sustainable skills and career opportunities. Kayhana Astronomical Group led by Afghanistan’s first female astronomer, Amena Karimyan, promotes astronomy education for Afghan girls, achieving global recognition and representing Afghanistan on the international stage. Based in Brazil, CARIRITEC, founded by Maria Creuza Borges de Araujo, promotes social inclusion and fights stereotypes, encouraging women in STEM through lectures, workshops, and social media activities in the Brazilian Northeast.   • As part of our efforts to expand the boundaries of night skin science, we hosted ELC R&D leaders and external scientists for a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) Meeting at our China Innovation Labs in Shanghai in September. R&D leaders and distinguished scientists from across Asia convened to discuss cutting-edge research on sleep, circadian rhythms, and skin recovery. These experts from diverse fields, including sleep science and clinical dermatology, contributed their invaluable knowledge and insights that will help inform our skin care product development.   • In honor of the 10th anniversary of our Women in Supply Chain employee resource group (ERG), ELC hosted inspiring in-person events in Switzerland and the U.S., bringing together hundreds of supply chain professionals to discuss key topics such as inclusion and diversity, gender equity, wellness, and the future workplace.   • ELC is proud to announce the publication of a four-year study aimed at enhancing the recyclability of cosmetic glass packaging and increasing the availability of recycled materials. In partnership with Strategic Materials, Inc. (SMI), the largest glass recycler in North America, this study involved in-depth testing of over 200 glass beauty containers and packages to better understand the barriers of cosmetic glass recyclability and explore potential solutions.
