Had lots of fun at the California News Publishers Association awards gala on Saturday, where The Fresno Bee punched above its weight as winner in the Local Government and Investigative categories. Sacramento Bee had 7 first place awards, and The Tribune (San Luis Obispo) in Division 3, took home first place in General Excellence and Public Service, among many other first place awards in various categories.
