Yesterday, we had the privilege of partnering with Wish for Wheels to build bikes for students in the Denver community, honoring our late friend, Steve Sander. Steve's deep commitment to the community and his desire to give Denver kids the chance to enjoy the outdoors made this event a special way to celebrate his legacy. The Wish for Wheels team did an amazing job organizing the build of 124 bikes for McMeen Elementary. Thank you, #WishforWheels! Our city was once again a sought-after destination last year, with our city's tourism industry generating over $10 billion dollars in revenue thanks to 37.4 million visitors who came to us from around the globe. 2023 brought big impact - here's how they compared to 2022: 🚈 Transportation spending within the destination reached nearly $3 billion, a 10.7% increase 🏨 Lodging spending hit $2.5 billion, up 9.1% 🍴 Restaurant Food and Beverage spend reached nearly $1.5 billon, a 9.7% increase 🛍 Retail Purchases totaled just over $1 billion, achieving a 7.8% increase 🎟 Recreation, Sightseeing and Entertainment totaled $749 million, a 9.3% increase Tourism is critical to our center city’s economic fabric and as Denver continues to attract visitors as a year-round destination, we can’t wait to welcome visitors to the new 16th Street!
