Last week, we hosted an exciting discussion on how technology is helping societies and businesses navigate the challenges of extreme weather events. 🔹 We heard the incredible story of how Lockheed Martin used an integrated infrastructure control system to prevent its systems from freezing during Winter Storm Yuri in 2021—while also returning electricity to the grid at a critical time when Texas was running out of fuel and gas. 🔹 We also learned about an innovative initiative led by Western Sydney University that uses smart irrigation, powered by sensors, AI, and machine learning, to help cool down cities and combat rising temperatures. Want to catch up on the conversation? 📺 Watch the recording now on our YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/dYjNwPiw Stay tuned—we’ll be publishing a blog soon with key takeaways from the discussion.

Cyber resilience is no longer optional. As businesses and organizations embrace digital models and rely on third-party platforms to process data, strengthening resilience must become a top priority. Yesterday, we had an insightful discussion with Amy Parde & Karl Wood about the urgent need to enhance digital infrastructure resilience. Here are three key takeaways: 1️⃣ Resilience is a Business Imperative – It’s not just a technical solution or a compliance checkbox. Businesses must integrate resilience into their core strategies to stay ahead of disruptions. 2️⃣ Failure is Inevitable and Adaptability is Key – In today’s complex tech landscape, preventing every failure is unrealistic. The best approach is to acknowledge that failures will happen and build systems that adapt and recover quickly. 3️⃣ Cybersecurity Education is Critical – Raising awareness about cybersecurity risks is essential for both businesses and individuals. By fostering a strong security culture, we can collectively strengthen data protection and mitigate threats. 📺 Watch on Youtube: https://lnkd.in/dcCXSYxy Register now for the next session on 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: https://lnkd.in/dpQEc2jE
