About us
We are a leader in the nonalcoholic beverage industry. In 1957, founder Harold Honickman purchased a Pepsi-Cola manufacturing and distribution business in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The business had only a handful of employees and sold 300,000 cases in its first year. In the ensuing years, the company grew and Harold expanded into other beverage distribution businesses all the while remaining committed to the family-owned-and-operated model that has shaped The Honickman Companies® over more than half a century. Today, our family has grown to include more than 2,500 team members who produce 60-plus brands, from water and soft drinks to sports drinks, teas, juices and energy drinks. Across our five companies and 17 facilities stretching from New York to the North Carolina border, we sell millions of cases annually, but we are proudest to have built a culture of respect, hard work and integrity.

On Monday, September 9, we will hold the 5th Annual Honickman Companies Golf Invitational. Last year, we raised $500,000, totaling over $1.5 million raised since the inaugural event in 2020. We're proud to raise money for Volunteers of America-Greater New York and United Negro College Fund this year.

What a day with our friends from UrbanPromise! Our Pennsauken team hosted 60 teens for a tour of our production facility and distribution center and a presentation from our sales team. We finished the day with pizza, pictures, and of course, fun gifts — including beverages! These bright, enthusiastic teens are a fantastic reminder of why we’re committed to our partnership with UrbanPromise to give the kids of Camden, New Jersey, a peek at the kinds of career opportunities that await.This visit is quickly becoming one our favorite traditions.
