Congrats to Associate Professor Bryan Berger on receiving a $1.59 million grant from the EPA to further research efforts on Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)-polluted agricultural soils. Professor Berger received $93,000 from the Trust in 2022 to lead undergraduate students in research and training of industrial hemp as a tool for phytoremediation of PFAS-polluted agricultural soils. Their preliminary data and published papers from this initial research aided in securing additional funding from the EPA.
