✨ Celebrating Faith's Journey with The Key Program, Inc ✨ This Partner Highlight Friday, we are excited to introduce you to Faith, a remarkable 17-year-old who has been part of The Key Program for the past 3.5 years. Key's partnership with Rodman for Kids has been instrumental in supporting Faith through various stages of her journey. Faith first joined Key's STARR Program in Pittsfield in July 2020, then transitioned to the Howard House Group Home, and eventually moved to their Intensive Treatment Residence in April 2022. With the generous support of Rodman for Kids, Faith has thrived, exploring her interests in softball, Girl Scouts, and school events, while also receiving comprehensive support during her transition to foster care. The impact of Rodman for Kids on Faith's success is profound, enabling her to prepare for a class trip to Greece, collect essentials for her future apartment, and feel supported every step of the way. Faith has achieved significant milestones such as maintaining employment, completing PAYA modules, and acquiring independent living skills. We are incredibly proud of Faith’s accomplishments and look forward to witnessing her continued success! Last week, we had the pleasure of joining the The Children's League of Massachusetts at the State House in Boston for Advocacy Day! It was a great day of connecting with our colleagues and peer organizations to advocate for the needs of the children and families we serve. One of our own, Jerrid Kenney, received the 2024 Direct Service Award! Jerrid’s creativity and dedication to his work is inspiring to us all, he is truly an invaluable member of Key’s team. Congratulations Jerrid! #CLMAdvocacyDay2024

In February, Key’s Rhode Island programs were re-accredited through CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), an independent accreditor of health and human services for the 5th time! This month Key’s MA long term, Intensive Treatment Programs are scheduled to be re-accredited for the 2nd time. Main office staff traveled to all regions to explain the accreditation process and prep staff for CARF’s visit. Check out our amazing staff competing in a Jeopardy game to test their knowledge of Key’s trainings, policies, and emergency planning procedures!!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! At Key, we believe that mental health matters every month, but this May, we're shining an extra bright light on the importance of mental wellness. In a world where it's easy to push our mental wellbeing to the side, it's crucial to remember that our mental well-being deserves just as much attention and care. Let's break the stigma surrounding mental health together and create a supportive community where everyone feels heard and understood.
