On Tuesday, July 16th, we wrapped up the sprigging of our final set of greens. The team covered the main putting green, 9 South, the small chipping green, and East holes 2, 3, and 4. Altogether, they sprigged nearly an acre of greens! The project is progressing smoothly and nearing completion. https://shorturl.at/8T0Wf #agronomy

Green sprigging is in progress today at The Lakes Country Club. We've successfully completed North holes 1, 6, 7, 8, and 9. These holes are now finished, except for the bury pit areas, which will be addressed using fraze mowing material, a specialized turf management technique used primarily on sports fields and golf courses.

A brand-new Foresight Sports GCQuad Launch Monitor has been set up in the Event Center! Members have the option to play various golf courses, practice on the range, or enjoy some fun with friends. What golf simulator courses do you hope to play this summer?!

On Thursday, May 16, Donny took a handful of members over to Shadow Mountain Resort & Club to play some padel tennis! For those unaware of what padel is, it is the fastest growing sport in the world… That's right, the world! This sport blends all three racquet sports available here at The Lakes CC, with the added twist of playing off the walls. Let's just say we all had a fabulous time and who knows, maybe one day we will see this amazing sport here at our very own club!

Each year, on the second Saturday in May, letter carriers across America give back to their communities by collecting food donations for those in need. It was heartwarming to see our community come together to support those in need. Our dedicated mail carriers, like Gabriel from the United States Postal Service, picked up non-perishable food items left next to mailboxes to distribute to local families facing hunger. It's inspiring to witness acts of kindness like this, reminding us of the power of compassion and community. Here's a photo of Gabriel accepting a donation! #StampOutHunger (Photo credit: Member Marilyn Growe-Sulkes)

Member Eileen Haddigan enjoyed a memorable day on May 7 in Gold Canyon, Arizona, teeing off at the Lost Gold golf course within the Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club. As she reached hole #8, battling against the wind, she skillfully struck a 139-yard shot with her 5 wood, achieving her third hole in one! A remarkable feat, Eileen! What an unforgettable moment!
