Our amazing coworker, Ellie Olszewski is running the Chicago Marathon this Sunday! We are incredibly proud of her dedication, hard work, and perseverance in preparing for such a huge accomplishment. We’ll all be cheering her on and are excited to celebrate her achievement! Learn more about Ellie’s journey. 🏃🏽♀️What or who inspired you to run the Chicago Marathon? •My friend Robin gently bullied me into doing this with her! If it wasn't for her pushing and motivating me, I would be a spectator on Sunday. After I began running half marathons, I started to think running a full marathon would be the next goal, but I initially envisioned it happening a year or two down the road, not 2024! So, for that, I have to thank my friend! •I'm also raising money for a great cause as well - American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the stories I've heard along the way about the runners' personal connections to the cause on my team have been super inspiring too. 🏃🏽♀️What’s your strategy for race day, and do you have any specific goals? •I don't have a pace goal; I am really just going to listen to my body and do what feels right. I've been dealing with some aches and pains in the back half of my training, so just crossing the finish line will be the ultimate accomplishment for me. 🏃🏽♀️Who is your support team? •My family is flying and driving in from New York and Michigan to cheer me on, alongside my amazing friends! I can't wait to see everyone's faces on the sidelines; I know they will be the boost I'll need to keep going. 🏃🏽♀️What will you do to reward yourself? •I am treating myself to some ice cream and a nice dinner out on Sunday night, and I have a full-body massage scheduled for the next day!
