Does your resume feel really light? Do you have trouble telling the story behind your role? Do hiring managers miss your strengths when they ask questions based on your resume? It's time to beef it up, but how? List out some of your achievements in your previous roles. Give extra attention to your most recent role. Try to find quantifiable results that represent that achievement and show your impact. If you need help thinking of these, ask a colleague. Then go over each achievement and think about how you did them. What was the process? Any challenges? Who did you work with or manage? What was the awesome idea, strategy, or solution you came up with? What was your mindset behind this? Add a few "how's" to your resume and write them down separately to practice saying out loud in a clear and concise way. Now you're using your resume to steer the conversation toward your best work AND you have a list of talking points to discuss your work ethic and process. Need more tips for your resume or interviews? Need someone to proofread your resume? Reach out to a #LatitudeGroup team member! #WorkWithLatitudeGroup #JTOTW #JobTips #ResumeTips #InterviewTips

Are your virtual interviews a bit clunky? Here are some tips to make your interview flow smoothly. Test the link for your virtual interview to ensure you have the necessary plug-ins and applications. Make sure your login is ready, too. Test your audio and camera compatibility as well as your internet connection. Find a quiet area and blur or tidy your background. Book time between interviews/meetings to decompress and start on time. Aim to have enough time to log on 10 minutes before the interview. Have a contact ready in case you're running late or have connection problems. Dress the same as you would for an in-person interview. Use good posture and positive body language i.e. nodding, leaning in, eye contact, smiling, etc. Come prepared by researching the client website. Have 2 - 3 prepared for the manager. If you have audio or connection issues, politely ensure your interviewer is experiencing the same thing. Send a message to the interviewer through the app or site you're using. Try to turn off and turn on your camera again. If all else fails, log off and log back on. If this happens, reach out to your back up contact asap. Follow up after the interview with your recruiter. Send a thank you note to the hiring manager. Still need help? Reach out to a #LatitudeGroup team member to schedule an interview prep. #WorkWithLatitudeGroup #InterviewPrep #VirtualInterview

Hey network! I need to learn a little bit about the Salesforce Engineer skillset. Can anyone provide some insight to some of my questions? Also willing to talk to contract to hire folks local to the Minneapolis area who want to do some Salesforce development in a hybrid office. Should have some opportunities next month. Comment if you can talk me through it or if you’re looking. We can figure it out together. 😁 #SalesforceEngineer #Salesforce #questions

Happy World Mental Health Day from the Latitude Group! We know job seeking as well as being on the job can sometimes be overwhelming. Here are some tips to destress from both as you take some time for self-care today. 1. Take breaks: Get outside. Walk around. Talk to a friend. Meditate. Pet your dog. Whatever it takes. 2. Eat a healthy snack when you put in long hours. Avoid skipping lunch, too! 3. Give AND receive recognition at work. 4. Give yourself permission to make mistakes and cut yourself a break when they happen. 5. Stretch out or do some physical activity after long periods of sitting. 6. Get comfy: If you're working from home, find a quiet, comfortable, distraction-free spot to work. Maybe use some headphones. If you're at work, make sure your desk is set up ergonomically. 7. Take your mind off work at the end of the day. Your work was enough. Go do something fun and spend time with people you love. Work life harmony is important! 8. Ask for help: You don't have to do it alone. Find a coworker to jump in, a connection to help you find job opportunities, or friend to confide in when things get tough. 9. Speak up when something is wrong: If you're hurt, tired, frustrated, sad, unsafe, or scared, don't keep it to yourself. Share it with someone who can help. If you don't know who can help, start with a trusted friend or coworker. 10. Practice empathy with yourself and with others. 11. Set a schedule and block off work time if your day gets too hectic. 12. Set tangible goals for yourself daily, weekly, and monthly so you can see your progress. 13. Keep a folder with all of your compliments, praise, and milestones from people you have worked with. Bonus: Save this to use in your job search or in raise conversations. 14. Keep your personal and professional networks strong and healthy. Stay connected. 15. Did you drink water today? Make sure you hydrate to keep the headaches away and your mind sharp. 16. Create a supportive DEI community in the workplace. Everyone has the right to be themselves, be included, and be treated with respect. 17. Use your PTO. Use your PTO... Use your PTO. 18. Work or search for jobs outside on beautiful days. 19. Keep a mentor in your life. Share your tips back as a mentee, too! 20.Always know there is support and help for you if you need it. You belong. You're important. You deserve to be valued. You deserve honesty, trust, and respect. There are resources for you and your situation, just ask. You matter. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthAwarenessDay #MentalHealth #LatitudeGroup #WorkWithLatitudeGroup

I always know I will have a great time at Ready. Set. Pivot. and the women I meet there are all AMAZING! What I never know is what kind of connections or who I will be meeting while I am there. I’m always blown away with who I speak with and the work they have done or are currently working on! For anyone who knows me this won’t be a surprise, I’m bad at networking and talking to people I don’t know is hard! However at RSP it’s so easy and now that I’ve been to multiple events walking up to someone at RSP and starting a conversation is so easy! I encourage anyone who might be shy, or anxious to get out there to try an event from RSP, they will build you up and help show you the how! Thank you Wendy S. Wiesman and everyone involved for a great Fall Experience! Till next time!
