⚓️ St. Johns Ship Building, Inc., a Jones Act-compliant shipyard in Palatka, Florida owned by Americraft Marine Group, one of our #maritime subsidiaries, has signed a contract with Mobro Marine, Inc. for the construction of two Spud Barges to support a range of marine construction operations. 🏗 Mobro Marine is a full service company that was founded in 1962, offering inland and ocean towing, as well as equipment rentals, sales, and service of barges, tugs, cranes, and more. Built for durability and versatility, the 180' x 54' x 12' Spud Barges are a specialized type of barge with steel shafts commonly used for marine construction operations. They will meet the demanding needs of the #marine and #construction industries and enhance Mobro Marine's extensive fleet, providing essential services across the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean. This #partnership marks another milestone for St. Johns Ship Building as it continues to expand its portfolio of high-quality, reliable #vessels—ranging from offshore wind support vessels to versatile barges—driving #innovation and growth in the U.S. maritime industry. Over the last week, Elandis, one of our #RealEstate subsidiaries, rose to the challenge when Hurricane Milton threatened its communities in Florida. With seven properties containing a total of 1,489 units directly in the storm’s path, the Elandis management team was swift to mobilize.   In anticipation of the storm, the Elandis team worked tirelessly to ensure each community was engaged and ready for the coming storm. The grounds were extensively cleaned, trees trimmed, and vacant units secured. The team also proactively communicated with residents via email, text, and social media, confirmed residents had access to emergency supplies, and connected with local officials for additional support.   As neighborhoods across the impacted states came together, Elandis was humbled to do their part to help their residents and communities with on-site teams working diligently to support residents. Two examples of Elandis at work in Florida included:   🤝 At Ridge Apartments in South Daytona, Manager Tanya Gutierrez and her husband went above and beyond, kayaking lunches to residents stranded by floodwaters. The entire Ridge team worked to relocate residents from flooded units, coordinate ongoing relief measures, and ensure every household had access to essentials. After the waters receded, the residents came together to host an impromptu community barbeque to provide much-needed food and camaraderie.   🤝 Despite the community enduring five days without power and grappling with 50 flooded units, Manager Will Jackson at Haven on Canal in New Smyrna Beach collaborated seamlessly with the #Elandis corporate team to deliver meals, provide gift cards for food, and personally meet with each resident to assess their needs and ensure their well-being.   We are inspired by the tremendous work done across the region by many to rebuild and support communities impacted. Thank you to the many heroes, seen and unseen, for your tireless work.

🛶 Proud to share that a team from Lomar Shipping, one of our #maritime subsidiaries, once again took part in the annual OSCAR Dragon Boat Race at London's Docklands, a charity event that raised £660,000 this year. Bringing together over 500 people and 30 teams from across the UK, the #shipping industry competes to determine the fastest boat and earn the title of 'champion dragons.' However, the event is more than just a race – it’s a powerful fundraiser for the OSCAR (The Ocean and Shipping Community Advancing Children’s Health and Research) campaign, supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (#GOSH) and the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, which form the largest concentration of children's health research in Europe. We are proud of #Lomar’s commitment to this charitable cause, which has raised nearly £3 million for children’s healthcare since its inception in 2011. The event facilitates exchanges and deal-making that shape the industry's future, serving as a critical hub for addressing pressing industry challenges and advancing #innovation. 🌎 We are proud to highlight that Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure (GSI), one of our #RenewableEnergy subsidiaries based in North America, participated in Ocean Man First Nation’s Annual pow wow last month at Lost Horse Hills, on Ocean Man First Nation land in Saskatchewan, Canada, celebrating the nation’s sovereignty and self-determination for their inherent rights and preserved cultural identity. This invitation was a testament to the strong relationship GSI has fostered with the Ocean Man First Nation community through their commitment to their partnership, the Iyuhána Solar project. 🤝 Under an exclusive PPA, the largest with a utility in #Canada since 2015, the Iyuhàna Solar Project will be a 100 MW solar facility, which will operate and supply generated power to the principal utility company, SaskPower, for 25 years. This project is also one of the top 10 largest contracted solar projects in the country. ☀️ As a founding partner, Ocean Man First Nation has an ownership stake in Iyuhána Solar. Through this #partnership, band members will have access to employment opportunities and receive specialized training to maintain the solar facilities. During their time in Saskatchewan, members of the GSI team toured the future Iyuhána Solar project site with local representatives from the Rural Municipality of Estevan. Wonderful to see the evolution of this novel partnership with #SocialImpact. We look forward to following GSI and Ocean Man First Nation as they continue to collaborate on this project supporting #Indigenous communities while advancing #sustainable energy solutions!

🚢 We’re excited to share that lomarlabs, the corporate venture lab of Lomar Shipping, one of our #maritime subsidiaries, recently collaborated with Bennu (formerly Blue Dot Change), a Silicon Valley climate tech start-up, to successfully test their cutting-edge methane removal technology. ⚓️ The pilot project took place aboard Lomar’s #bulkcarrier ‘Syros Trader’ in Baltimore, testing the system's ability to destroy methane using a process inspired by natural phenomena in the stratosphere. This technology aims to revolutionize the reduction of #methane, one of the most potent greenhouse gasses, unlike conventional methods that attempt capturing it. To optimize this #technology, the Bennu team tested the effectiveness of the system and collected data that will inform the goal of full-scale production by summer 2025, with a target to remove over 100 megatons of methane annually by 2028.
