Some exciting news for the secondaries market! According to a recent article, 2023 saw an increase in closed transaction volume, with between $110 billion and $115 billion of stakes changing hands. Buyout funds were the primary driver of this growth, making up the majority of continuation fund deals. Additionally, LP-led transactions made up 55 percent of all secondary deals, growing by 15 percent year-over-year. As we look ahead to 2024, industry experts are optimistic about another record year, with a large pool of capital ready to be put to work.
